MSI Wind U115 netbook last an astounding 13 hours

The U.S. has yet to see this hybrid (SSD/hard drive) netbook but European test sites like EEE-PC.de has put this machine through the first round of testing. The battery test results are impressive. With the hard drive turned off and the CPU running at 100%, this hybrid managed to last an astounding 13.15 hours on a single charge off the 6 cell standard battery using only the SSD drive. The wifi was turned off but the results might even improve with normal use as a CPU never runs at 100% during normal use. The long run time is due to this netbook, using the Intel Atom Z530 CPU, which is more energy efficient than the Intel Atom N270 chip found in most netbooks. The unique hybrid SSD/hard drive setup gives users the best of both worlds allowing the power hungry hard drive to be powered down when not in use. When more storage is required, the 160 gb drive is at the ready.
