Apple introduced the iPhone 5 at a press event yesterday at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. The new iPhone is thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4S while increasing the screen size to 4-inches at 1136 by 640 pixels (326 ppi). Comparisons between iPhones and other brands are inherently flawed since the final user experience takes many factors into consideration, some of which cannot be measured in specifications. Samsung Galaxy Note II to offer burst mode shooting at 6 frames per second

In the soon to be released Galaxy Note II, Samsung has added a feature rarely seen on mobile phones. Burst mode shooting at 6 fps for up to 20 images at full 8 megapixel resolution will be coming to the new 5.5″ quad-core smartphones.

Samsung Mobile USA took the wraps off the upcoming Galaxy Note II, an upgrade to the popular Galaxy Note 5.3″ smartphone. A host of new features have been added including updated S Pen apps, a new Air View feature which allows control of the device by hovering the pen over the screen. Best mobile phones for the older generation

People older than 40 may find it increasingly hard to focus on small fonts and screens of mobile phones. Technologies such as Retina display do not really help because the eye cannot focus on the sharper text at close distance without the aid of reading glasses

Today is National Grandparents Day in the U.S. As people age, their ability to focus on close objects naturally diminish as a result of presbyopia. While the degree of blurred vision may vary from person to person due to other conditions affecting vision, the effects of presbyopia can be accurately predicted with age. A child can focus on objects just 2 inches (50 mm) away. By the time we reach 25, that distance is doubled to 4 inches (100 mm) and levels off at about age 60 with the minimum focus distance extending to 3 to 6 feet (1-2 meters).

At 5.5” diagonal, .2 inches larger than the Galaxy Note, this quad-core 1.6 Ghz driven phablet will take the reign as the world’s largest smart phone.

After months of speculation and rumors, Samsung finally announced the Galaxy Note II at IFA in Berlin. At 5.5” diagonal, .2 inches larger than the Galaxy Note, this quad-core 1.6 Ghz driven phablet will take the reign as the world’s largest smart phone. Amazon has clearly set its sights on the market leading iPad with the introduction of the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 fully loaded at $499, a price set to compete against Apple’s entry level model

The previous generation Kindle Fire was priced at half the price of the iPad but this new revision is set to compete against the iPad in both specs and price.

The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G offers a fully loaded 32 GB 4G LTE model at $499 to compete against iPad’s 16 GB wi-fi only version at the same price.
