In the U.S., a license agreement (also known as a usage agreement) is a document a photographer produces to dictate how his/her images are to be used. The document may address things such as usage such as publication, printing, web use, editorial use, and commercial use. It may also address retouching rights and reproduction rights. A photographer owns the copyright to an image once it is produced and it is up to the photographer to grant usage rights to other parties. For more information:
