Top woman PLC scam

Positive Negative

This is being sent out en masse to anyone who has an email on their modeling profiles. A UK firm is not going to solicit no name models in other countries and pay to fly them in. I don't care what their excuse is. It's just not going to happen. Also, Vogue pays the top models in world $200 to model so no way this "magazine" is paying to fly anybody in, let alone pay for a bus or train ticket.

Attn Model,

You are getting this message because our recruiting team viewed your portfolio on Model Mayhem and believe that you have what we are looking for in our magazine "Top Woman Magazine UK"

We are looking to relaunch Top Woman after more than a decade under due to some financial limitations which resulted in loss of our ardent subscribers.

We are looking to bring models to the UK for the photo shoot which is set to commence on the 20th of January to the 23rd of January 2011.(If these dates are not good for you, lets know your preferred dates)

Its a 4 day event where will have Hair,MUa's and wardrobe available to you throughout the duration.

We want to hit the British public during the holidays as we feel that's the best time to introduce the magazine back to the UK public.

We will be hiring 20 models in all whom you'd be one of them once you accept this offer.

This is going to be a huge fiesta as we'll have photog flying in from all over as well as the support crew who are in charge of the whole theme for the event.

The whole idea is about bringing something new to the UK.

I await your response about this offer.

Cheers!

NOTE: This magazine is for both male and female models.

i got a similar message, but i don’t want to pay money for a work visa and get screwed out of 765 bucks..help?

    • Exactly what kind of help are you looking for? It’s a scam, pure and simple. If someone tells you they will give you a penny for every dollar you give them, do you ask for help?

  • wirlwind

whats the scam? are they even a magazine?

    • The scam is revealed in the first two words. Any unsolicited emails you get starting with “Attn Model” is a scam, plain and simple. I offer plenty of resources. All you have to do is read it. http://blog.patyuen.com/lessons/

  • It IS a scam. I got shagged out out of $500 by them and now their site is dead and they have dropped off the face of the earth. I will never see my money!
