Most legitimate modeling agencies do exercise control by screening photographers and presenting those selected for the models to choose from. We do not take anyone under 5'8 for girls and 6'0 for guys. It is just not worth the time for the agency. They do not book high fashion jobs and that is really all we want when it comes down to it. The only part I disagree with is the part about testing, our agency does have you test with our contracted photographers to keep the tests consistent and to keep the creative control in our hands. We do not charge very much though and our main photographer charges 75% more than we do to book with him. And just so you know the perfect girls are usually 5`11 32-24-34. I work for a well-known modeling agency and this info is awesome. We do not take anyone under 5′8 for girls and 6′0 for guys. It is just not worth the time for the agency.
